Seth Ray, PGA Head Golf Professional

Seth Ray is a Beatrice, Nebraska native that is full of energy! He comes to us as a young 25 year old professional with a passion for making peoples day. Seth went to school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in which he got his degree in Professional Golf Management (PGM).  He isn’t your usual golf story of a kid beginning a young age, in fact, Seth didn’t begin playing the game of golf competitively until he was a junior in high school! Outside of the game, Seth enjoys to watch Husker Athletics, Duke Basketball, Lawn Care (not watch but do), and just about anything competitive. His motto, which is going to take some refining is “tee it high and let it fly” so playing a round with Seth may cause you to see some incredible shots but also will help replenish your golf ball supply! If you have any questions about Seth, feel free to shoot him an email at seth.raypga@outlook.com.

Jessica Weickert, The Veteran

I am currently a senior at Peru State College and will graduate in May with a degree in Criminal Justice-Counseling and a minor in Psychology. My athletic career will also be coming to an end soon as I am a member of the women’s golf team. After college, I will be looking into finding a career in the social work field and helping change families lives for the better. Outside of school and golf, I love exploring the outdoors, watching sporting events, and going to country music concerts. I always try and go to any Kansas State football and basketball games when I have the chance. I am entering my seventh year working at the Beatrice Country Club. The people are what make working here great. I have a love for the game of golf and each person who comes out to play reminds me of why I started playing. The members and other staff employees have always made the environment a positive atmosphere making me want to come back for another year!

Kyle Murray, Inside/Outside Ball of Energy

Golf has always been a passion of mine. I have been playing golf since I was able to walk and have been involved in the Nebraska Junior Golf Association tournament play since I was 8 years old. Playing the game of golf has taught me patience, discipline, ethics, and leadership. I enjoyed the competitive nature of golf as an individual and as a team during my high school and college experiences. During my high school and college years, I was named captain of my teams which taught me leadership skills on and off the golf course, such as encourager, spokesman, liaison, mediator, comedian and friend.

I have had several different work experiences that have taught me to work cooperatively with others and to work hard at every opportunity. NGage is my recent internship. It has taught me what it looks like to run a business and to work in an office environment. Working with NGage has helped enhance my computer skills. For example, I have built websites, edited video interviews, promoted businesses, and organized information. I also work at the Beatrice Country Club where I work in the pro-shop and on the grounds crew. I really enjoy conversing with the members about golf. Also I furthered my knowledge of golf courses by seeing the behind-the-scenes of how to keep a golf course up and running. I worked the junior golf camps each summer where I had the opportunity to teach young kids about playing golf, golf etiquette and enhance their love for the game, as well.

Luke Archer, New Kid on the Block

My name is Lucas Archer, I also go by Luke. I go to a small school called Freeman High School in Adams, Nebraska. I play football, basketball, and golf. Golf is probably my top choice out of those three. I have two siblings, a sister and a brother, whose names are Nate and Ella. I am finishing my sophomore year and am 16 years old. Outside of school I enjoy hunting, going to Husker football games, watch Kentucky play basketball, and play video games.
